Flying Start Isle of Wight has been designed to help young people in Year 11 plan and prepare for life, study, and work after school. It gives you the resources you need when considering a course at sixth form, college, apprenticeship or other employment options, and helps you to fulfil your potential.

We know that your final year of education has been very different from what you might have expected, however, it is really important that you now spend time planning and preparing for your next step and Flying Start can help you to do that.

If you’re unsure about what you want to do next, don’t worry! It’s not too late to apply for a range of exciting opportunities that are local to you – there’s lots of useful information on the following pages to help you.

If you already have a plan for September, then the Flying Start programme has a range of information for you to make sure you’re ready and prepared for your next step.

Over the next few weeks, we will be adding more resources and links to help you, so make sure you check out the page regularly.

If you are unsure of what options are available to you in the local area, or what is best for you, watch this video which explains the different options.
