BlendEd programme supports teachers with free CPD
BlendEd is a programme of free professional development and resources for teachers to support blended learning pedagogy. BlendEd helps teachers, school leaders and other educators design effective teaching and learning that makes the most of digital technologies.
WHAT IS BLENDED LEARNING?
Blended learning is a mix of traditional in-person learning with a teacher in a classroom and interactive learning activities using digital technologies, often from home.
Blended learning combines:
- classroom-based activities with the teacher present
- digital materials provided by the teacher
- independent study using materials provided by the teacher

WHO IS BLENDED FOR?
BlendEd is designed by teachers for teachers. They recognise that teachers have huge demands on their time so everything from their resources to online courses is bitesize.
WHY IS BLENDED NEEDED?
The Covid-19 pandemic has reduced children’s access to education. While schools and teachers have made remarkable progress, the use of technologies always needs to be underpinned with best pedagogical practices.
