Welcome to the SUN Outreach Hub workshop offer.
Our new and exciting ‘Explore…’ series of interactive workshops are specifically designed for students in Years 7-11. These 45-minute workshops will enable students to identify ambitions, learn about making informed decisions and explore future pathways. Students will learn about the range of education opportunities available at Level 3 and beyond and will consider their skills throughout the sessions.

This workshop aims to give students an introduction to skills, choices and ambitions. By the end of the session students will have a broad understanding of some of the skills they have and some of those which they wish to develop, what an informed decision is and how to set goals to work towards achieving ambitions.

This workshop is designed to support students to understand the importance of making an informed choice in relation to their future. Using two character journeys it explores different pathways available to them and highlights skills they may need for the future.

This workshop places an emphasis on where students are now and introduces them to future pathways after school. It hones in on the importance of GCSEs and provides top tips on making informed GCSE choices. Additionally, the session demonstrates a simple tool that inspires students to think about how their hobbies and passions can link to GCSEs and careers.

This workshop is an introduction to employability and why this will be important in a student’s future. In this session, we cover employability skills, networking, successful interviews, and personal branding. This aims to get students to think about aspects of employability they are already developing and identify some ways they could build on this throughout their education journey.

This session covers themes of transition and progression, as students prepare to move on from Year 11 to sixth form or college. After considering the differences between level 2 and level 3 study – students will then be given an insight to their level 4 options, including university. Finally, students will be introduced to key elements of students finance in relation to higher education.
