Young people are finding their feet in many ways. During this stage, their communication and decision-making can be unpredictable and emotional. Working with young people means working around their rapid responses and creating an environment where respectful, strategic, and two-way communication can take place.
Any staff members or practitioners working with young people aged 11+.
By joining the session, you will:
- Understand the key emotional drivers for young people and their impact on communication
- Recognise how to avoid conflict with young people and prevent challenges from escalating
- Learn effective ways to communicate so that young people can listen, learn and make progress

Lorraine Lee has been a Professional Parenting Practitioner in Hampshire for over 15 years, with a background in Child Psychology, Positive Parenting Training and Child Development. She is incredibly passionate about giving children and young people the best chances possible.
