Campus Visit Day
Location: Arts University Bournemouth
Date: 12 June 2024
Time: 9:15am - 2:30pm
The SUN Campus Visit Days give Year 9 and 10 students the opportunity to explore a university campus in Hampshire or Dorset. The events comprise of a welcome talk, a student life & budgeting seminar, a SUN workshop of your choice, a campus tour, and a student ambassador Q&A.
To offer full flexibility, we offer you a selection of five SUN workshops. To complete your booking, you will need select two options from the following:
You can bring groups of up to 30 students for these visits. Students who attend these events should fall into at least one of the following categories:
• Uni Connect students*
• Students from Armed Forces/ military families
• Students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Care-experienced students
• Students who are young carers
• Students estranged from their families
• Students from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities
• Students who are refugees
The events are completely free of charge and we may be able to support travel costs. If this is required, please include details in your booking form (e.g. mode of transport and rough cost) and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Refreshments for students will not be included so please ensure students have eaten before attending the event and/or bring their own refreshments. Please note that places are limited and completing the booking form does not confirm your place. We will respond to your application as soon as possible to let you know if it has been successful.
*Uni Connect students are defined as young people who reside in low higher education participation areas. These students will be identified in your 2023-24 SPoC Activity Report. If you do not have access to a SPoC Activity Report, please get in touch with sun@soton.ac.uk.
