SUN Progression Mentor at Queen Mary’s College
What is your role at the college & how can you support the students?
I assist with various departments such as careers, admissions, WEX and UCAS. I can help to give students general HE information and signpost to relevant staff members. I arrange careers talks, higher education fairs and University trips.
What has been your career journey & what did you study?
I was a student at Queen Mary’s College before I started working here. I did 1 year of performing arts before moving on to a full-time music course. I then worked as a Student Support Assistant for 3 years for students with EHCPS before moving on to my current job role.
What is a fun fact about you?
I am a fantasy enthusiast and my favourite book series is Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb. I also love the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett and am reading them all in publication order!
