What is Prepare for the Fair?
Prepare for the Fair is designed to familiarise students with what happens at a Careers Fair or a Higher Education Convention and making the most out of what is on offer. The workshop prepares students for what to expect, who they might want to talk to, which questions they might want to ask and get them to reflect on what has happened after the event.
How will it help your students?
This workshop will help your students develop an understanding of the chosen convention they will attend, which stands they might be interested in and what questions they might need to ask the providers. It also allows them to think carefully about their options going forward. The students will all receive a booklet which will give them information about the stands that will be at the fairs, a number of useful websites that they might need before and after the event, as well as space for them to make notes about providers that interested them at the events and their potential entry requirements. We are currently in the process of developing a Prepare For The Fair focused for Pre 16 Careers Fairs, which should be available towards the second half of the Autumn Term.
