Understanding Apprenticeships

This workshop explores apprenticeships in depth, focusing on Intermediate and Advanced apprenticeships for Years 9-11, and Higher and Degree Apprenticeships for Years 12 and 13. The workshop explains what an apprenticeship is, how they are structured, what the different levels of apprenticeships mean, and looks at the application process for apprenticeships. It also aims to dispel myths around apprenticeships by looking at the wide variety of industries which offer apprenticeships, the different salaries on offer with examples from multiple roles and levels.

HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS?

50 minutes delivery followed by 5 minutes for questions and answers.

Our interactive presentations aim to inform young people about higher education opportunities and support them to make well-informed decisions about their future education.

All workshops are free, can be integrated into you school day and are delivered by certified SUN facilitators, who are all Enhanced DBS checked.
