Our pre-recorded video series is an exciting new offer that can be utilised to support Year 9 – 11 students who are either learning remotely or in the classroom. The aim of our videos series is to provide information that support students to make informed decisions about their education and future.
The video series emulates our popular workshop offer and covers Discover Apprenticeships, Discover Your Career, Discover Money Explorer and Discover Your Options. For more information on each series, check out the corresponding session briefs.
The videos have built in ‘pause and play’ questions to stimulate student’s thoughts, allowing them to engage at their own pace. Teachers even have the option to set students the accompanying worksheets for more structured home learning.

The Discover Apprenticeship video series consists of four videos which take students through the apprenticeship cycle. The series begins by familiarising students with what an apprenticeship is before discussing the different sectors and levels available. The final two videos demonstrate how a student may search for an apprenticeship before finishing on an insider’s guide to the overall apprenticeship timeline.

The Discover Your Career video series consists of four videos and takes its inspiration from our successful Careerpilot workshop. In this series students will begin by thinking about skills and why they are important. Students then get the opportunity to think about their future education pathway and what jobs/job sectors may suite them. Finally, this video series concludes with a comprehensive tour of the Careerpilot website.

The Discover Money Explorer video series consists of three videos that looks to improve student’s financial literacy and is supported by the Money Explorer website. The first two videos in this three-part series focus on money management, looking at what is budgeting and why it matters. The series concludes by introducing key information regarding the financial support available at university.

The Discover Your Options video series consists of four videos which take a look at a student’s options at level 3, level 4 and apprenticeships. This series is useful to help students develop an understanding of the differences between level 3/4 courses as well as the differences in learning styles between academic, vocational and work-based qualifications. This series can help students begin to consider what is important to them in the future.
