What will the session cover?

In this session, you’ll gain insights into the current landscape of mental health of children and young people, explore the policy context around supporting their wellbeing, and learn about the Whole School Approach to Mental Health and Wellbeing. You’ll also discover practical ways to implement this approach in your own setting.

  • School and college staff (teachers, SLT, pastoral, governors, careers and admin staff)
  • Third-party organisations who support young people
  • Educational professionals who work with schools and colleges
  • Local authority staff within education departments

*The National Children’s Bureau has been around for about 60 years. They convene specialist membership groups to help drive change to improve the systems around children to keep them safe, secure and supported. The Schools Wellbeing Partnership is one of these specialist membership groups and its aims are to support and promote whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing.
